The VA's Grant and Per Diem (GPD) Transition In Place (TIP) program is offering funding to community-based organizations to help reduce veteran homelessness. The TIP model focuses on placing veterans in apartment-style housing where they receive intensive, short-term supportive services—generally for 6 to 12 months. The goal is for veterans to eventually assume the lease and remain in the same housing unit as their permanent residence, promoting long-term housing stability.
